New standard issue. The M-1965 Field Jacket, most often referred to as simply “The M-65,” is an enduring icon originally designed for the US military in, you guessed it, 1965. To honor 50 years of this most iconic of garments, we’ve overhauled it from the inside out and given it a serious upgrade using today’s technology. Constructed using a 3-layer, waterproof, breathable stretch nylon from Japan, the garment is precision laser cut and fully seam taped throughout. We’ve updated the styling while remaining true to the essential form of the original—key details like the stow-away hood, Velcro cuff adjusters, and multiple utility pockets have been retained. While you might not be be getting caught in a monsoon in the jungles of Southeast Asia anytime soon, you’ll certainly be prepared if you do.
